Outreach Opportunities with SARC

Let’s Inspire the Next Generation of Scientists, Engineers & Rocket Builders

Are you part of a schoolcommunity group, or university club looking to inspire young minds and ignite curiosity about STEM, rocketry, and space exploration?

The South Australian Rocketry Club (SARC) is passionate about empowering the next generation through hands-on learning, technical education, and exciting launch experiences. We’d love to work with your group to deliver engaging, educational, and unforgettable outreach sessions.

What We Offer

Our team of rocketry experts, educators, and volunteers can run a variety of customisable sessions for young people, tailored to your group’s age range, learning goals, and schedule.

We can deliver:

  • Intro to Rocketry Talks
Learn about the science of rocketry, propulsion, and the history of spaceflight in an engaging, beginner-friendly session.

  • Simulation & Design Workshops
Explore how rockets are simulated, designed, and tested using real software used by professionals.

  • Hands-on Rocket Building Sessions
Students build and decorate their own rockets using safe and proven kits, learning about aerodynamics, stability, and safety.

  • Launch Day Experiences (Weather & permissions permitting)
Watch rockets soar! Students can safely launch their own rockets and see the results of their hard work in action.

Whether it’s a one-day event or a multi-week program, we’ll work with you to design something fun, safe, and educational.

Why It Matters

We believe in:

  • Making STEM accessible and exciting

  • Providing real-world learning opportunities

  • Supporting equity and diversity in engineering and aerospace

  • Creating moments that spark lifelong curiosity

Our outreach is designed to inspire young people — especially those who may not have had exposure to hands-on STEM — and show them what they’re truly capable of.

Program Costs

SARC is a not-for-profit community group, and while our time is volunteer-based, there are some base costs associated with materials and equipment:

We’ll always provide a clear breakdown of any costs before you commit, and we’re happy to work with your budget to find a format that works.

Who We Work With

We’re open to working with:

  • Primary and secondary schools

  • Community youth groups

  • University STEM clubs or societies

  • Librariesmuseums, and local councils

  • Regional and rural outreach programs

If you’re passionate about STEM and youth empowerment, we want to collaborate with you!
