UPDATE: We are now GO-FOR-LAUNCH! Check out our social media for more updates - get your flying membership now!

The South Australian Rocketry Club is a newly established prefecture of the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), a global rocketry organisation.

If you’re not from South Australia, you can look for a local club here http://www.tripoli.org/Prefecture

Join The South Australian Rocketry Club (SARC)

Joining Tripoli Rocketry Association here in Australia involves two steps, and two separate memberships:

  • You must first join the Tripoli Rocketry Association and receive your TRA membership number.
  • Then you can join the SARC.

Flying Member: This is a fully flying membership to the club. It confers all standard right to the member. A standard member who is also a current member of the Tripoli Rocketry Association is able to attend and launch at all member launch events. A standard member is eligible to nominate to the committee. Committee members must be current paid-up members.

Junior/Education Member: This is a Junior & Education membership to the club. It confers all standard right to the member. A Junior & Education member applies to those who are either: a current Junior member of the Tripoli Rocketry Association, meaning they are able to attend and launch at all member launch events, or they are attending an Education event in partnership with SARC, allowing them to launch only at the specific education launch event.

Social Member: Invitations to club BBQs, trivia nights, and networking socials. Members-only updates on launches, projects, and industry news. Launch day spectator perks (special access areas, hospitality, or early invites). Opportunities to volunteer at events and support rocketry in the community. Recognition as an official member of the club.

Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA) – United States

(more details available at: www.tripoli.org)

The first requirement for joining the South Australian Rocketry Club is to join and pay your membership to the Tripoli Rocketry Association in the United States (you can do this online). This membership conveys a range of benefits, including insurance for sanctioned launches worldwide and access to Tripoli publications, website content, and merchandise.  TRA also establishes safety codes, certification levels, and processes.

These membership fees are invested and reallocated to support Prefectures throughout the world. The South Australian Rocketry Club received $385 AUD from this fund for last year, which we are using to equip the club with launch facilities, equipment, and safety gear.

South Australian Rocketry Club (SARC)

The second membership is for SARC.

For this membership, you will be eligible to fly your rockets at any of our launch sites (as they become established) on organised launches; you will receive regular communications from the organisation, invitations to attend social gatherings, updates on weather conditions for launch days, and use of launch equipment.

We look forward to flying with you.

SARC members and committee.
